I'm a singer, a writer, an actress,
and a web-designer. Sometimes I wonder where I
find the time to juggle all of these hats...
A recent graduate of the College of Communication
at Boston
University, I earned my B.S. in Magazine Journalism
in May. Also at COM, in Spring 2002 I served as
the Webmistress to the Washington Journalism program,
as a design supervisor and co-Webmaster of COM's
online magazine Elixir.
Senior year I worked as a Teaching Assistant with
Prof. Bill Lord teaching two levels of Multimedia
Journalism to both undergrads and grad students.
When not at COM, I served as a Webmistress to
the College
of Engineering. I am currently looking for
work.
I love to write, and hope to someday complete
at least two of the novels I have in progress
and one major work of non-fiction. If only I had
enough time to sit down and string the words together.
Excuses, excuses...
Despite my other interests, there is nothing
I would rather do than sing. I've been singing
since I could open my mouth, and even before I
viewed it as a possible career option, I knew
I was able to do things with my voice that others
could not.
A mezzo-soprano, I traveled to New York once
a month to study musical theatre voice with Claudia
Catania. Last year, while working under her at
BU, I added 5 notes to my range. I presented my
own showcase of theatre and pop music at BU's
Marsh Chapel in March. After deciding on a career,
I plan to attend some professional auditions in
New York City.
